Every person born of a woman can become an achiever no matter the person’s background, physical ability or geographical location. A man or a woman’s only limitation is lack of knowledge as nobody can achieve beyond the level of knowledge available to him or her.
Someone says, ‘Oh!, My government has provided all I need and so I don’t need to suffer myself anymore. I would just work enough to reach retirement age and earn pension and have fun’.
Another says, ‘Greatness is not for people like me: otherwise my father would not have abandoned me’.
Another says, ‘My government does nothing to help alleviate our poverty. If the government could give my community electricity, good road and medical facility, then life could be easier. I wish I was born in another better country’.
The list could go on. Sometimes we look for ‘soft-landing’ to excuse our lack of fulfilment in life. The truth is; no matter the condition, there is a sunny side of life. There is a life of fulfilment and contentment waiting and expecting that we access the right keys to unlock and possess it. This life will have us live to our full potential of what we can achieve. It comes via knowledge.
The good news is that it’s never late to realize this universal truth and move on to achieve greatness. Some persons discover this truth early in life while some discover the truth much later in life. Whatever stage in life you discover this universal reality is never later. Everyone can make his or her life count.
It is a well known fact that every person has the same amount of time on a daily basis. Time is the only equal opportunity employer. Time is a just employer that pays every person exactly the value of his or her input. Time is one thing that inventors and scientists cannot invent or cause to change its mode of operation. No person has the capacity to allocate more time to him or herself. Every person gets the same allocation of time equally. The big question is, ‘what do you do with the time available to you? Each one of us has the same amount of time that JD Rockefeller and Andrew Carnegie had. The same amount of time that Henry Ford and Thomas Edison had. The same amount of time that Bill Gates and Jim Rohn has. Each of us can also achieve greatness like these men because we already possess the potential that is needed to achieve it. What is missing is knowing what to do and a desire to apply the principles of achieving successful.
The time available to us is adequate to make our lives count. Time, well invested takes us to the sunny side of life. Our glorious destiny stares at us. It is our responsibility to create our world. No matter our current status in life, it could be better than what it is at the moment.
The principles to unlock the sunny side of life are the same ageless principles used by the ancient Babylonian Merchants to create vast empires. Every great personality has in some way applied the same principles. These principles are explained in my book, 'A Culture of Positive Change'.
