A couple of years ago, a homeless man, Ted Williams, was a known beggar living on the highways for a decade. He suddenly realised that he had wealth (golden voice) on the inside which could take him out of the highway to a decent living home. He therefore decided to write on a piece of cardboard the following words:
‘I have a God-given gift of voice. I ‘m an ex-radio announcer who has fallen on hard times. Please any help will be gratefully appreciated. Thank you and God bless you.’
Ted would show the write-up to every motorist that passed by him. A reporter drove by and saw the write-up, decided to take a chance by requesting Ted to showcase his ‘golden voice’. Ted spoke with his radio (golden) voice and blew the reporter away. The reporter uploaded the clip on YouTube and the video went viral in a matter of days. Following the viral video, Ted got multiple offers for jobs and including offers for mortgage. Imagine for a moment that Ted was carrying wealth on the inside of him and for ten years he was living as a beggar on the highways.
There are hidden opportunities available to most people to create wealth and transform their lives. For Ted, although he has moved off the street, there is still a hidden opportunity for him to create even more wealth that will transcend generations. Ted needs to write a book on his story. I am positive that a book titled ‘From Highway to Mansion’ by Ted Williams will be an instant hit. Such a book, if well written will provide inspiration for people in similar difficult situation.
